Inspired by our grandmothers Norah and Zeale, we provide traditional and quality home wares collections-both vintage and handmade.
My mother and grandmother taught me how to knit, sew, make do and mend. We learnt how to make something out of nothing in the home or garden. We were reducing waste, recycling and growing our own, long before it became fashionable!
I have always crafted, I love home made, but I went into education for a career and have had the joy of working in all phases of education from early years to adult teaching. I will be working with some great art and craft teachers over the coming weeks to deliver our handmade workshops and children’s classes.
The classes will be small and judging by the interest, likely to filll up quickly, so please drop us a line or pop in and provide a phone number or email and keep an eye on instagram for details.
We offer work placements for young people to encourage social mobility and work with schools and colleges to provide practical craft skills such as BTEC, NCFE and Arts Award qualifications.
Over the coming few weeks, we will be getting handmade soaps, baby clothes from Yetty Knits and wooden items from Elephant carpentry and joinery, each no doubt with their own story to tell.
We we have had a great welcome in Walthamstow. Thank you for supporting us. Whether you are looking for a gift for someone special, creating, crafting or decorating, pop in, drop us a line and let us help you express the creativity in your life.
